How to contact us
Many of you have asked for our contact information, but we're weary to post it on a public forum. You can contact the bride at her full first and last name, no space @yahoo.com. Our parents and wedding party have also been more than willing to pass on questions to us which we'll answer as a post to the blog if we feel they're appropriate questions.
We know you've been visiting our site, but I cannot stress enough how much it would mean to us if you would follow us.

FAQ #2: How did Greg propose?
It was June 28th, a steamy hot day with not a cloud in the sky. Wanting to impress to the max, Greg took Michelle to Morimoto (the Iron Chef's restaurant). Greg suggested that we take a walk through the Rittenhouse Square park to pass the time. We hailed a taxi and headed to the park. As we walked into the entrance of the park, Michelle jested "too bad I don't have my MP3 player." But Greg was prepared, pulled one out of his pocket, and had it loaded up with Norah Jones songs. They walked towards the Children with Sunflowers statue at the northeast corner of the park, shared the ear buds of the MP3 player, and slow danced to several songs. After the song Come Away With Me, Greg got down on one knee, pulled out a beautiful diamond ring and asked Michelle to marry him.
Come Away with Me is a very special song to both of us. On our third date, Michelle took Greg to the Rittenhouse park where we stood near the gazebo and the water fountain. Michelle pulled out her mp3 player and struggled to find an unoffensive waltz so she could give Greg a waltz lesson. Although Greg objected, Norah Jones' Come Away With Me was all she could find. We shared the ear buds of the MP3 player as we danced together for the first time. As this song was so special to us, Greg couldn't think of any better way to propose then to dance away before doing so. He is looking forward to spending a lifetime of dancing with Michelle.
She said yes, and shortly after many of our friends started to appear in the park. We later went to the Continental to toast with Champagne!

FAQ #1: So how did you two meet?
We met the old fashioned way: an online dating site called J-Date in September 2007. Side note: To all of you singles out there, it does work! Michelle contacted Greg first because his profile mentioned something about training for a triathlon and playing the violin, which is more information than most men write and at least half of it was true. Greg didn't hesitate to contact back. Our first date was at the 20th and Sansom Street Capogiro in Philadelphia...we met over gelato, since coffee is so cliché. It was love at first sight for Greg, it took Michelle a little longer, but not too much more.
We pretty much saw each other a few times per week after that. Michelle had a vacation booked to Puerto Rico in the beginning of November for her birthday. Unfortunately, her travel companion couldn't make it. Just when Michelle was about to cancel her trip, Greg's contract at work ended making him available to come with her.
We figured the best way to find out what someone is really like is to go away to a strange place together. We managed to have the best vacation of our lives. The rest is history!

Voyeurism...it's not just about reality TV
Dear Guests,
Please become our followers. We know you've been reading our blog because we've gotten whisper-down-the-lane feedback. However, that does not motivate us to keep updating this website to keep you informed. Signing up to be a follower does not compromise your privacy nor will you get any spam by doing so. Just enter your email address and create a password and you'll be able to create your own blog, use other Google applications like Picasa (Blogger is a Google operation), and of course become one of our followers. We'll feel confident that at least one person is interested in being updated on the latest wedding happenings.
Once the wedding is over, we will privatize this blog so that only followers who have been approved can access this blog to view updates and pictures. We've decided to initially make this blog public for two reasons: 1) it's a lot easier for you to find us, 2) no one is searching for Michelle and Greg's wedding, so we're still really difficult to find in a regular Google search.
So once more, this is our plea, please follow us. Without motivation to keep updating, we may disable this blog.
Thanks,
Michelle and Greg

Black Tie?!
Dear Guests,
We have had multiple queries as to what it means to be Black tie. Traditionally, when formal events take place on a Saturday after 6 in the evening, ladies wear an evening gown and men a tuxedo. This is referred to as "Black tie." Since we are getting more and more casual as a society, it has become a kind reminder to designate "Black tie" on an invitation, as suggested to us by our many vendors.
There is an even more formal dress code known as "White tie." In this case, ladies would wear ball gowns and men would wear tails on their coats. Perhaps it would be fun to attend one of these events one day and if you certainly feel up to it, please feel free to don such attire.
One of our guests made a great suggestion to get registered at a tuxedo shop, especially since many men will have to put on their first ever tux. Although we haven't done so yet, we will be registering at Men's Warehouse so that any wedding party discounts can be passed on to you.
We will be updating this post with more information about our tuxedo registry.
UPDATE: We visited Men's Warehouse today and were told that there are no additional discounts offered for being part of a wedding party. We're really sorry, but we tried, we really did. For those who would like to rent a tux, MW offers rentals for $49.
As a reminder, please feel free to ask any any questions you have. We're certain that if you have a question, there are many other guests who are also wondering the same thing.

Our Bridal Party
Greg and Michelle wanted to invite those who are nearest and dearest to us to stand under the Chuppah on our wedding day. These friends and family have never wavered and have been there for us in the best of times and in our moments of need. Thank you!
Michelle's parents: Aleksander and Sofia Shwarz
Greg's parents: Jeffrey and Sheila Bornstein
Maid of Honor: Erica Shwarz, Michelle's younger sister
This picture was taken at Erica's 21st birthday. It's a night we will not forget. It was Erica's first Mojito...which reminds us of our favorite Erica quote, "It's good, but I don't understand why did they put lettuce in my drink?" :-)
Thanks Erica, for the laughs, for the remote control in the refrigerator, for the looks in Stepp's class that only we understand, for the patience and the strength, for being the only one who understands where we come from, for letting me be your role model even when I didn't get it right, and for caring when I needed it most.
Best Man: Todd Bornstein, Greg's younger brother
Looking at these pictures brought back so many memories and stories. If I could have chosen any brother, I still would have picked Todd. Todd, thank you for helping me through all the rough times, for reminding me to follow my dreams as you have followed yours, for being my best friend, for being on the same team even if you didn't agree, for being my biggest cheerleader when I didn't believe in myself, and making sure I was never alone.
Bride's maid: Taryn Bornstein, Greg's younger sister
Greg and Taaaaahryn
Pre-gaming at Michelle and Greg's place.
She's definitely the cool sister, my sounding board and problem solver. It's a good thing girls mature faster than boys. Even today, when I look at you, I see the cute little girl with banana curls who loved strawberries. You were also the mischievous girl who managed to bang my head against Todd's and get us both in trouble. Taryn, those are still two sides of you I see and love today, the sweet and loving sister and the feisty, fiery woman you've become.
Groomsman/Bridesman: Yevgeny (aka Eugene) Kushnir, Michelle's dearest friend
Michelle met Eugene in 7th grade. They were 11. However, it was in college when they became very good friends and Eugene offered his friendship when everyone else was in Boston or elsewhere. Thanks for enjoying 2003 with me, listening when I need to vent, remembering that we'll be okay after the fallout, for watching me grow, for watching me fall when I grew too fast, and staying grounded. We're so glad you're in our lives and elated that you're now a dear friend to both of us.
Groomsman: Greg Berkowitz, Greg's leaning post
I met Greg at a Collaborative event- for those who have no idea what I'm talking about, it's a group in Philly that puts together social events for young Jewish professionals. As soon as we met, we hit it off, and it was the kind of thing where you meet someone and think they've always been in your life. He's like my brother when my brother can't be here. He's the first friend I call when I'm excited to tell someone the good news. Thanks for the good times, the "back door", Atlantic City, being my wingman, letting me be yours (I hope we find one soon for you), for being thrilled for my happiness, for your honesty, your brutal honesty, and being the other GB.
Groomsman: Derrick Zizelmann, Greg's partner in crime
My "bro"-- my friend, the unlikely friend, the friend who always leaves people asking how did you meet and how do I get his number? There is no one who brings more life to a party or joy to my day. Who would have expected that we could have traveled to Ohio, Vegas, Nashville, as different as we are, learning from each other, appreciating our differences, embracing our similiarities? D--your father still doesn't know, it's our secret forever. I'm happy to be part of your family as much as you have become part of mine.
More Pictures, just for the fun of it
The Bornstein children and their dog Buffy
OMG!! This picture is a result of Todd trying to be helpful to Mom and Dad by doing the dishes. Unfortunately, no one told him that you cannot put Dawn dishwashing liquid in the dishwasher. The result...a kitchen full of suds, side-splitting laugher, and an unforgetable Kodak moment. But it gets better. What happens when you try to flush suds down the toilet? You get more suds!
